Sometimes we just need to get away...

"Then Jesus said, 'Let's go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.'" (Mark 6:31) I love that Mark says the reason Jesus said this to his disciples was that "so many people were coming and going" ...they didn't even have time to eat.  Ever feel like that? I sure have!  

This year as we continue to come through and Lord willing finally finish with Covid we are going to wait for our full retreat until 2023.... I am staying hopeful. 

For 2022 I'm thinking some of us could still use a place to rest, a quiet place.  With some simple opportunities to draw near to God, to sort our thoughts and feelings, to enjoy good food and conversation, and the beauty of a country home.  
We are opening our home for a weekend retreat June 10-12 inviting you to come to a quiet place and rest awhile.  Big Oak Valley, CA is one hour north of Sacramento and 90 minutes west of Lake Tahoe.  Accommodations will be simple as we do not have a lot of extra bedrooms, but there is plenty of space for sleeping bags, tent space outside and on the back deck, and some comfortable sofas!  (We are also 20 minutes from beautiful Grass Valley where there are other housing options.) Meals will be cooked together.  The group will likely be small...and the hope is that we all come away refreshed, rested and renewed.  God is faithful!

Cost will be $125 per person to cover time invested and expenses. As always please check with me if you can't afford that....
